Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
RocketCityEngineers.com is a small, locally run site for the Huntsville engineering community. We collect as little about you as we can get away with, and this page explains — in plain language — what we do collect and why.
What we collect
Newsletter signups
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and the page you signed up from. We store it with our email provider (Beehiiv) and use it only to send you the newsletter. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing actually works.
Accounts
If you create an account (to save jobs, set alerts, or claim a company profile), we store your email address and the data you add — saved jobs, saved searches, profile details — with our authentication and database provider, Supabase. Sign-in is by magic link; we never see or store a password.
Employer inquiries
If you contact us through the employer inquiry form, we store the details you submit (name, company, email, message) so we can respond to you.
Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool that we host ourselves. It counts page views and referrers without cookies and without tracking you across other sites. It does not build a profile of you, and we don't sell or share analytics data with anyone.
Cookies
We use cookies only where they're needed to keep you signed in to your account (Supabase session cookies). We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data. Ever.
- We don't share your email with employers or sponsors.
- We don't run third-party ad trackers.
Who we share data with
Only the service providers that make the site work: Beehiiv (newsletter delivery), Supabase (accounts and data storage), and our own hosting infrastructure. Each processes your data solely to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
Newsletter emails: until you unsubscribe. Account data: until you ask us to delete your account. Inquiry messages: as long as needed to handle the conversation.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, and you can email us to see, correct, or delete any data we hold about you. We'll handle it promptly — this is a small operation, and a real person reads the inbox.

Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting newsletter subscribers will be announced in the newsletter itself.
